Denburn Park, sometimes known as the ‘Sheep Field’ or ‘Dorward’s field’, is the green area bounded by Kirk Wynd on the West, Triangle park on the South, Roomebay Avenue on the East and Denburn Wood (and the main road) to the North. This land was gifted to Crail Preservation Society by one of the early CPS committee members, Professor David Rutherford Dow, a native of Crail and former Master of Queens College, Dundee. Prior to gifting the property to CPS legal agreements (see below) were made between Professor Dow and the National Trust for Scotland, see the main condition below:

From May 2019 CPS is considering the development of Denburn Park into a walk that will connect Denburn Wood to Triangle Park.
