The Society is committed to working with Fife Council to maintain the Crail Conservation Area in order to protect the village’s unique ambience and beauty.  This is enacted through our robust planning policy which works in concert with the existing Conservation Area Management Plan.

Highlights of the Conservation Area include the sixteenth-century harbour, now a major tourist attraction with its lobster shack, the Crail Museum, the fine Dutch-inspired sixteenth-century Town Hall and Tolbooth, and the medieval parish church.
