We are the owners of Crail’s sixteenth-century doocot, located near Roome Bay Park at the eastern end of the village, and have been undertaking a complete renovation and restoration of this historic building over the past several years. That restoration is now complete and a photo journal of the building’s transformation be found here. More information about the archaeology and history of the building can be found in the Doocot Archaeological Report by Addyman Archaeology.
The doocot’s grand re-opening took place on the afternoon of Saturday, 18 May 2019, and was led by the Lord Lyon King of Arms.
